Perspective
It’s everything.
The glass is half full or it’s almost empty. It’s cold and rainy, it’s bringing life to trees, flowers, grasses.
A very good friend gave me a plant. It was infested with fungus gnats. They infested all my other plants. They started to live in our drains… they are teeny tiny and they don’t bite or really DO anything other than annoy.
I researched how to get rid of them. Neem oil. Making a tea of Mosquitoe Bits to water my plants which will kill the larvae/eggs/gnats in the soil. Pouring boiling water mixed with bleach down my drains.
They finally seem to be decreasing… going away…
Yet every time I see one… I think of my very good friend. And how NICE it is to think of her. It makes me smile and remember all the shenanigans we’ve been party to over the years…
Perspective. She gave me a plant and now I think of her several times a day.
What a wonderful gift.

Small moments of kindness can change the world, Shannon.
I like how this ended. We have those “drain gnats” and we bought two of those plug blue light nightlights with replaceable clear panels that the gnats are attracted to and then get stuck on. It’s been a morbidly gratifying thing to see, albeit it kind of gross 😂
